SofTrack supports the following Server and Workstation platforms.
Server Platforms

The SofTrack Server Agent is installed on one or more servers for purposes of hosting your definitions, acting as a repository for metering, inventory and audit data as well as providing control for workstation agents.

SofTrack provides support for the following server platforms:

  • Windows 2008 (32bit and 64bit)
  • Windows 2003 (32bit)
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows NTv4 sp6a
  • Terminal Services on all the above, and Citrix®

  • You can also use Windows XP, Vista or Win7
          (recommended only for sites with less than 100 workstations)

  • NetWare 3x, 4x, 5x and 6x

  • Clustering / Server Clusters on all the above

    • Workstation Platforms

    SofTrack provides agents to inventory, audit and control Windows-based workstations plus Terminal Services / Thin Clients. Additionally SofTrack includes support for MacOS 9 and MacOS X workstations.

    The following workstation clients are specifically supported:

  • Macintosh OS9 - all versions
  • Macintosh OSX - 10.1 through 10.4.x
  • Windows XP (including fast user switching)
  • Windows Vista 32bit and 64bit (inventory, metering and internet tracking)
  • Windows 7 32bit and 64bit (inventory, metering and internet tracking)
  • Windows 2003 32bit
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows NTv4 sp6a
  • Terminal Services on all the above
  • Citrix®
  • Windows Me
  • Windows 95/98
  • Windows 3.11
